About Paradise Technologies Web Services

Questions about our experience, hosting and the way we support business websites.

How long has Paradise Technologies been in business?

Paradise Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1999. Website design and Internet services have been part of the company's work from the beginning.

How long have you been building websites?

Paradise Technologies was founded in 1999 with website development as one of its core areas of focus. Our experience includes business websites, WordPress, PHP, HTML, hosting, website support and related Internet services.

Do you provide web hosting?

Yes. Paradise Technologies provides managed website hosting for qualifying business websites. Hosting is also included with our website care plans. High-traffic, e-commerce, custom application or resource-intensive websites may require a custom hosting solution.

Why use a technology company for website services?

Website problems are often connected to DNS, hosting, SSL, email delivery, security, backups, performance or other technology. Paradise Technologies can look beyond the page itself and help identify the actual cause of a website problem.

Website Design & Development

Planning, design, development, revisions, mobile support and content management.

How does the website design and development process work?

The process begins with discovery so we can understand your business goals, audience, content and technical requirements. From there we plan the site structure, create or select the design approach, develop the website, test the finished work and prepare the site for launch after approval.

How long will it take to build a new website?

The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the project. Many small-to-medium business websites can take roughly one to three months. Custom development, large content migrations and complex e-commerce projects can take longer. Timely client feedback and content delivery have a major effect on the final launch date.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?

Yes. Responsive design is a modern requirement. The website should adapt to desktop computers, tablets and smartphones so visitors can read content, navigate and complete important actions without needing a separate mobile site.

What if I do not like the initial design?

The development process includes review points so design direction can be discussed before the entire website is completed. The number and scope of revision rounds should be defined in the project agreement.

Do you use custom designs or templates?

The approach depends on the project. A proven theme or template can be a cost-effective starting point for some websites, while other projects require a more customized design or fully custom-coded solution. The recommendation should match your brand, requirements, budget and long-term maintenance needs.

What is a content management system (CMS)?

A CMS is software that lets authorized users manage website content without editing source code for every change. WordPress is a common example. The right CMS depends on the website's content, integrations, internal skills and support requirements.

Will I be able to make changes to the website myself?

For websites built on a content management system such as WordPress, authorized users can usually edit text, images and other basic content. More advanced layout, programming, security or integration changes may still require technical support.

Can you redesign an existing website instead of starting from scratch?

Yes. An existing website can be redesigned while preserving useful content and functionality. A redesign normally begins with a review of the current site, its content, technology, search visibility, hosting, integrations and known problems before deciding what should be retained, rebuilt, migrated or retired.

Website Cost, Scope & Ownership

What affects price, who owns the finished website and how scope influences the project.

How much does a website cost?

Website cost varies based on size, design, content, e-commerce, integrations and custom functionality. A professionally built small-business website may cost a few thousand dollars, while larger custom projects can run into the tens of thousands or more. We recommend pricing the actual scope rather than forcing every project into the same package.

What factors influence the cost of a website?

The biggest factors include the number and type of pages, custom design requirements, e-commerce, forms and integrations, custom programming, content creation, photography, data migration, SEO work and other ongoing services.

Do I own my website once it is launched?

Our project agreement defines ownership and licensing. For standard projects, ownership of the completed website deliverables is transferred after final payment, subject to any third-party software, themes, plugins, fonts, stock media or services that remain governed by their own licenses.

Should the domain name be registered in my name?

Yes. The business should retain control of its domain registration and registrar account. Paradise Technologies can help manage DNS and domain settings, but the client should not lose ownership or administrative control of the domain because of a website project.

Website Hosting, Care & Maintenance

The questions clients most often ask before starting a website care plan.

Is website hosting included in the website care plans?

Yes. Each plan includes managed hosting for a qualifying business website. High-traffic, e-commerce or resource-intensive sites may require a custom hosting quote.

What counts as a content update?

Small text, image, link and existing-page changes count toward included update time. New pages, redesign work, custom programming and large content projects are quoted separately.

Does unused update time roll over?

No. Included update time resets each month so the plan remains predictable and sustainable.

Are premium plugin and software fees included?

Third-party licenses are separate unless they are specifically listed as included in your agreement.

What happens if an update breaks the website?

We investigate the problem, restore from backup when appropriate, and work toward a stable version. Custom conflicts, unsupported software or major repair work may require separately billed development.

Can an existing website move onto a care plan?

Yes, after an initial website review. Security issues, outdated software, unsupported components and pre-existing problems may need to be corrected before monthly care begins.

What kind of support do you offer after the website is live?

Post-launch support can include technical assistance, software updates, backups, security monitoring, hosting, performance oversight and minor content changes. Our care plans range from essential maintenance to more proactive website and digital services.

How are website backups handled?

Website care includes scheduled backups so website files and data can be restored when appropriate. Backup frequency, retention and recovery options depend on the plan and hosting environment.

Website Security, SSL & Performance

Protecting the website, keeping software current and maintaining a usable site experience.

What website security services do you provide?

Website protection can include security monitoring, software maintenance, malware monitoring, Cloudflare protection, web application firewall features, DDoS protection, SSL support, backups and recovery planning. The exact protection depends on the website and service plan.

Why are website updates important for security?

Website software changes over time. WordPress core, plugins, themes, PHP and other components may receive security and compatibility updates. Keeping supported software current reduces avoidable risk and helps maintain compatibility.

What is SSL and why does my website need it?

SSL is the common term used for the certificate and encrypted HTTPS connection between a visitor's browser and a website. Modern websites use TLS for that encryption. HTTPS helps protect data in transit, supports secure forms and logins, and prevents normal website traffic from being sent as plain text.

Does SSL protect the entire website from hackers?

No. SSL protects data while it travels between the browser and website. It does not replace software updates, strong passwords, access controls, malware monitoring, a firewall, backups or other website security measures.

Why does website speed matter?

Slow websites create a poor visitor experience and can reduce engagement and conversions. Performance work can include reviewing hosting, caching, images, fonts, scripts, databases, plugins and other factors that contribute to long page-load times.

Search Engine Optimization & Website Visibility

How SEO fits into website development, redesign and ongoing improvement.

What is search engine optimization (SEO)?

SEO is the process of improving a website so search engines can understand its content and so the site has a better opportunity to appear for relevant searches. SEO can include technical improvements, keyword research, content strategy, internal linking, page optimization and search-performance monitoring.

Do you build websites to be search-engine friendly?

Search visibility should be considered during planning and development. That includes crawlable navigation, useful page content, descriptive titles and headings, sensible URLs, image alternative text, mobile usability, performance and a structure that search engines can understand.

Can you guarantee a first-page Google ranking?

No. Search engines control their own rankings and results. We can improve the technical quality, content and search readiness of a website, but no responsible provider can guarantee a specific organic ranking for a competitive search term.

What does a website review or grader look at?

A useful website review can look at website safety and security, mobile and desktop performance, load speed, SEO and content optimization, business listings, backlinks, usability and other technical or marketing issues that may affect the site.

Platforms, E-Commerce & Integrations

Choosing technology based on the actual website requirements rather than on a one-size-fits-all answer.

How do you choose the right website platform?

The platform should fit the project's content, integrations, e-commerce requirements, internal skills, security needs, hosting environment and long-term support plan. Paradise Technologies works with WordPress, PHP, HTML and other web environments where appropriate.

Do you build e-commerce websites?

Yes. E-commerce projects can include product catalogs, shopping-cart functionality, payment-gateway integration and other online sales requirements. The exact platform and architecture depend on the size and complexity of the store.

Can my website accept online payments securely?

Yes, when the project uses a supported payment processor or gateway and the website is configured correctly with HTTPS. Payment security also depends on the payment provider, account configuration, website software and the organization's operating procedures.

Can you integrate forms, databases and third-party services?

Yes, depending on the project. Integrations can include forms, databases, APIs, email delivery, analytics, payment services and other supported third-party systems. Integration requirements should be identified during discovery so they can be included in the project scope.
